Giovanni Tomaselli is a trusted and known name in the world of technology and manufacturing. Having scaled large Fortune 500 companies and large organizations, Giovanni provides the edge needed to develop hubs for technology, manufacturing, and business.

Giovanni was a Harvard Business School Case Study subject that outlined his success in Asia. Living in Asia for 30 years has given him the ability to have first-hand experience in some of the largest manufacturing plants in the electronics industry. Being the head of Consumer Electronics at Flextronics with manufacturing in multiple countries across the globe allowed him to experience best in class manufacturing, design and go to market activities.

Desiree Mejia – Chief Operating Officer, Treasurer & Secretary

As a co-founder of SkyBell, Desiree plays a crucial role in steering the company’s strategic direction and operations excellence. Celebrating SkyBell’s 10 years in business in June 2023, Desiree has overseen the professional installation of over 2.5 Million Video Doorbells throughout the security industry. She expertly leads SkyBell’s supply chain management, manufacturing, customer support, and order fulfillment while also overseeing SkyBell’s product and cloud development efforts. 

Additionally, in her capacity as SkyBell’s Chief Operating Officer, Desiree has played a pivotal role in diversifying the company's market reach. She was instrumental in steering SkyBell into the DIY market, successfully positioning our products as user-friendly and accessible for everyday consumers. Her strategic vision and leadership further facilitated our entry into the security market, establishing SkyBell as a reputable name in home security solutions.

Building on these successes, Desiree is now working diligently to bring customer centric solutions to the gap between starter home security and expensive security systems, further solidifying SkyBell’s position as a versatile and innovative leader in the industry.  Desiree's foresight and adept handling of strategic market entries have been invaluable to SkyBell's growth, reflecting her profound impact on our company’s trajectory and our role in the evolving landscape of home security and smart technology.

Joe Scalisi - Founder & CTO

Joe Scalisi

Joe Scalisi is a paragon of innovation in the home security technology sector. As the mastermind, founder, and Chief Technology Officer of SkyBell, he has been pivotal in transforming the smart home device landscape through his pioneering designs and intellectual properties. With a robust foundation in engineering and design, Joe cultivated his acumen, envisioning a future where technology profoundly enhances our everyday experiences.

Under Joe's original vision, SkyBell has consistently been at the cutting edge of the Internet of Things (IoT) movement, a feat highlighted by the company securing the coveted CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award in 2014. His remarkable collection of over 200 US and International patents issued, with approximately 50 more pending places Joe as a vanguard of invention, ranking 241st among 1.5 million IoT patent holders globally. This distinction underscores his prominence and the substantial influence of his work in the broader technological sphere.

Murray Wikol – Non-Executive Board Member

Murray Wikol

For the past nineteen years Mr. Wikol has served as President and CEO of ProVisions LLC. Murray D. Wikol is a Founder, C-Level Executive, and/or Board Member for commercial, non-for-profit and public sector enterprises.

Murray D. Wikol's primary responsibilities include strategic planning, governance, financial performance, risk management, and operations directing and managing the efforts of ProVisions LLC. Current Roles include Michigan Finance Authority – Board Member, University of Michigan College of Engineering Leadership Advisory Board and Capital Campaign Committee, DocuSign Advisory Board Member.

Murray D. Wikol is an accomplished business professional and community member with particularly strong credentials in development, financing, and management.

Scott Durchslag – Non-Executive Board Member

Scott Durchslag

Scott Durchslag in his last major role was the President and CEO of Angie’s List. He is an action-oriented change leader in growth businesses & product-driven turnarounds with 20 years of global experience across technology companies in fiercely competitive industries.

Scott has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and North America with a strong track record in both strategy and operational execution to deliver committed financial performance.

Examples of Scott's strong track record include where he: Tripled the value of Angie's List in two years and sold it to IAC/HomeAdviser; helped turn around Best Buy as leader of Digital and Marketing for the leading multichannel electronics retailer; turned around Expedia Worldwide, the top global E-commerce business in travel; scaled Skype by doubling users & revenue resulting in a successful sale to private equity; drove $15B turnaround strategy for a $25B mobile business, and organically built two high margins $1B P&L’s at Skype & Motorola.

Dr. Kousay Al-Kourainy, MD – Non-Executive Board Member

Dr. Kousay Al-Kourainy, MD

Dr. Al-Kourainy, MD is a practicing Hematologist & Oncologist in Chula Vista, CA. Dr. Al-Kourainy graduated from University of Baghdad Al-Kindy College of Medicine in 1976 and has been in practice for 43 years. Dr. Al-Kourainy completed a residency at University of Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Al-Kourainy also specializes in Internal Medicine. He currently practices at Kousay Al-Kourainy MD and is affiliated with Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. Dr. Al-Kourainy accepts multiple insurance plans including Aetna, Medicare, and Anthem. Dr. Al-Kourainy is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Al-Kourainy also practices at Emergency & Acute Care Medical Corp. in Chula Vista, CA. In addition to English, Dr. Al-Kourainy's practice supports the Spanish language.

John Chiorando – Non-Executive Board Member

John Chiorando

John Chiorando is the CEO of Quality One, which holds MSAs with every major telecom player in North America, John guided the firm from a 100-million-dollar company to a 400-million-dollar company within a year.

John has accumulated experience as an owner and strategic partner in multiple industries for over 30 years, including healthcare, BPOs, energy, consumer products, wine sales and imports, beverage, telecom, engineering, E-commerce, finance, software, real estate, security, intellectual property, and most recently the music industry.  Further,

John has eight figures in exits and equity transactions to his name, and sits on the board of several other organizations, notably Q1, iVox Solutions, FLICharge, and the Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida.
